no but seriously, i wanted to pop in and say hello and contribute to the revival of the blog, haha. angela thank you for explaining the copious amounts of puppies appearing on my news feed because i was very confused. anyways london is pretty glorious, i think you should all come visit me RIGHT THE EFF NOW. i am listening to wagon wheel at the moment and it makes me miss yall so incredibly much, you have no idea.

but yeah. i'm going to dublin this weekend and i am PUMPED. molly, i am especially excited to visit the land of your forefathers. :D

ok well i'm gonna go seeing as i should be doing homework ... except for the part where i will probably get nothing done tonight. i almost wish i were at ND so i could sit the hallways and study/procrastinate with yall haha.

The Revival

Hello all!

In true Notre Dame spirit, Lauren and I are still awake at 2:45 in the morning, refusing to do work. After 3 hours of life discussion between Molly, Lauren, and myself, Lauren and I came to the conclusion that we need to reinstate the glory that is this blog. Therefore, I am posting an update on life at Notre Dame for your viewing pleasure. A 'since you've been gone', if you will...

We all made it safely back to our lady's university,
and we also successfully made it to a few parties. :)

I joined the band as, yes,
a tuba player.

We watch gorgeously large, sweaty
men play America's sport
from gloriously close angles.

Molly has learned to suppress her Irish heritage
and has embraced her inner-hoodrat.

I have developed several new talents,
including my sudden knack for the piccolo.

Shawn (Anne's bf) has acquired two baby labs, of whom we have
taken extensive care, and Molly is learning to cope with her
fear of four-legged furry canines.

In other news, Lauren has now been raised to 'H' status, for according to Molly, "she's so G that she's H!"

....

So, for now, there is a tiny bit of insight into life under the dome. Hope all is going well overseas! We miss you!

The Distance is short..

No matter where we are - remember that I love y'all. Can't wait to sit in the hallway (or the quad), eat cookie, and share the amazing experiences that this semester will for sure bring all of us.

oh god you guys. i am a wreck in so many ways!



i miss the laughter.

i miss adjusting the tape on kenzie's card from "jake" so it wouldn't fall off the wall. i miss the times we'd convince ourselves not to eat that ice cream/that cookie/that chocolate-- only to fail miserably about thirty seconds later. i miss the hallways that became extensions of our rooms. i miss looking out my door at 3am and seeing heads bent over laptops, books strewn across the floor.

i miss sitting in a circle playing games, grumbling good-naturedly at a loss or punching the air with victory. i miss surreptitious shots taken quickly in my room; i miss the failed peppermint patty debacle. i miss the strains of music floating out of every room. i miss late nights in 326. i miss meticulous discussion of miley cyrus lyrics.

i miss the stories from the morning after; i miss the gasps, the wide eyes, the "oh, no!"s and the "no way"s and the sheepish grins and the smiles from ear to ear. i miss the excitement that spread like wildfire whenever someone put up pictures, and the ensuing twenty-five comments left by people who were "studying, i swear!"

but most of all, i miss the laughter.

i went to my high school's graduation tonight, and it brought back so many memories it was scary. on the way home, my brother was asking me questions about the boys (nathan, etc.), and we started talking about all of yall. it was really weird how my life kind of made a complete circle tonight. it was nice seeing all the girls from high school, but it made me realize how much more i appreciate having yall and being so close to yall. the fact that my brother loves yall, too, makes it that much better. :)
